Workplace
SW Umwelttechnik offers staff the framework of a modern business. Promoting and encouraging individual responsibility and initiative in our employees is an integral part of our corporate culture. We provide many opportunities for our staff members to share their own ideas actively in our company. Both the employees and company benefit from flexible working hours and a variety of worktime models. Meetings are held during core time, if possible, business meetings in the evenings are an exception.

Important principles for respectful conduct are set out in our Code of Conduct, including workplace safety and requirements for a good, discrimination-free corporate climate. The entire staff is obliged to comply with this Code of Conduct and, at the same time, has the right to be treated in line with the Code. All employees and members of the management are encouraged to recognise inappropriate conduct and initiate the appropriate steps should it arise. Furthermore, members of the management are also responsible for helping find constructive solutions to everyday conflicts among staff members.

Remuneration
Our staff members are categorised in line with the Collective Bargaining Agreement in Austria and we also pay appropriate wages and salaries to our employees abroad. SW Umwelttechnik supports self-organisation within the company and the formation of interest groups.

SW Umwelttechnik offers the majority of its employees an additional attractive and motivating income opportunity using incentive-based salary components. The variable proportion depends on the company’s success, on the one hand, and the achievement of individual goals, on the other. A total of 84 % of our staff members have a variable salary component, which is paid once the targets agreed upon are met. Targets can include item numbers produced, profit margins or the achievement of profit goals, depending on the field of responsibility.

Health and Safety
Health forms the basis of performance and motivation at all stages of life. Ergonomic office equipment, vaccinations and other health programmes contribute actively to health and wellbeing.

SW Umwelttechnik provides a safe working environment by setting Group-wide safety standards, thus, reducing the probability of work-related accidents. Our work organisation is clearly oriented to accident prevention and protects employees from all work-related health risks to the highest degree possible.
